GENERAL TERMS
The following terms regard general participation in adventure activities with GNEISS ADVENTURES.
RISK
Whilst Gneiss Adventures deliver all activities with a high level of instruction, care and safety, clients should be aware that mountaineering and climbing involves a degree of risk which can result in personal injury or even death. Participation in these activities requires an awareness and acceptance of such risks as well as responsibility for ones own actions.
CHANGE OF ITINERARY
Hiring a guide or instructor does not guarantee a successful outcome with regards to a chosen route, summit, or objective. Gneiss Adventures make all reasonable efforts to fulfil intended itineraries, however, due to the changeable environment we work in it is sometimes necessary to make alternative arrangements. If it is clear from the outset that the intended objective is not possible on the grounds of safety, then an alternative will be offered on the same date(s).
Itinerary changes may be necessary due to (but not limited to) weather conditions, participants experience, fitness levels of individuals or group, and ill-health or injury. Safety is the overriding factor in an itinerary changes.

All under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
PERSONAL INSURANCE
We strongly recommend that you take out personal accident and holiday insurance with cover for cancellation, curtailment and personal injury.
PHOTOGRAPHS
We may take pictures whilst you are on an acitivity with Gneiss Adventures which we reserve the right to use for promotional materials. If you do not want to be photographed please let you guide or instructor know on the day or beforehand in writing.
BOOKING CONDITIONS
The following terms outline the booking conditions which are applicable once a payment has been made.
BOOKING CONFIRMATION
Bookings are only confirmed on receipt of a completed booking form and full payment for the activity(s). Once a booking is confirmed you will receive a confirmation with receipt of payment.
PAYMENT
Payment should be made by BACS. Details of how to pay will be delivered on receipt of a booking form.
CANCELLATION
The following terms outline our cancellation policy.
BY CLIENT

All cancellations must be by e-mail.

Cancellations made within 4 weeks (28 calendar days) of the course date will receive no refund.

Cancellations made more than 4 weeks (29 calendar days) of the course will receive a full refund minus a £20 administration fee.

Rescheduling is only possible with 4 weeks or more notice and subject to availability. Thereafter, the above cancellation terms apply.
BY GNEISS ADVENTURES

Whilst every attempt is made to run courses and adventures as advertised, Gneiss Adventures will notify you as soon as possible should the company need to cancel any bookings in light of unsafe or unsuitable conditions for the given booking.

In the event of Gneiss Adventures cancelling a booking, we will offer; alternative dates, a voucher to the equivalent amount for rebooking, or a full refund.

Please note that we are unable to refund any associated costs such as accommodation or transport.
ALL OTHER

We strongly recommend taking out holiday/travel insurances to cover any financial loss incurred through cancellation.
