MUNRO GUIDES
Munro's offer some of the finest mountain walks in Scotland. Whether bagging all the Munro's or just starting your Munro journey? Our guides have an intimate knowledge of the Scottish mountains and can help plan and facilitate climbing any of the Munro's.
WHAT's A MUNRO?
A Munro is defined as a mountain in Scotland with a height over 3000ft above sea level. Munro's are named after Sir Hugh Munro who, in 1891, produced the first list of Scottish mountains exceeding 3000ft.
'Munro Bagging' is the name used for the activity of climbing all of the listed Munro's. For some this is a lifetime goal and for others it is a race to complete the fastest continuous 'Round' (a Munro Round is the term for climbing all Munro's).
