WHAT'S GNEISS?

Gneiss (pronounced 'Nice') - is a commonly found metamorphic rock which is widely distributed around the globe. The Lewisian Gneiss found in the Northwest of Scotland is amongst the oldest rocks on the planet and also provides some of the finest rock climbing.

At Gneiss Adventures we offer rock climbing, hill walking and mountaineering experiences and courses. Our aim is to provide outstanding experiences in the Scottish Highlands and mountain areas throughout the UK.

Our team are experts in their field. We only employ experienced and qualified instructors and coaches; ensuring safe, fun and educational experiences.

We are full members of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors (AMI), which ensures our team are kept up to date through a regular CPD requirement. We also have comprehensive insurance which covers all of our guides and instructors for the courses and activities we offer.
